City of Elkins, Arkansas City Council Meeting
7:00 p.m. February 18, 2021 Via Zoom
Present: Mayor Bruce Ledford, Council Member Lindsay Watt, Council Member Eric McGill, Council Member Matt Francis, Council Member Chris Smiley, Council Member Jeff Plumlee, Council Member Mary Cope, and City Attorney Tom Kieklak
Mayor Bruce Ledford called a City Council Meeting of the City of Elkins at 7:00 p.m.
No invocation given.
No Pledge of Allegiance.
City Clerk, Delia Foster, took roll: Council Member Lindsay Watt, Council Member Chris Smiley, Council Member Eric McGill, Council Member Jeff Plumlee, Council Member Mary Cope, and Council Member Matt Francis were present.
Approval of Minutes: Approval of January 21, 2021 City Council Meeting Minutes:
Council Member Francis made a motion to approve the City Council Meeting Minutes of January 21, 2021, Council Member Watt seconded the motion. A voice vote was called and all voted “aye“, the issue passed unanimously.

Approval of Planning Committee Application – Jamie Smith:
Council Member Cope made a motion to approve the appointment of Jamie Smith to the Planning Committee. Council Member Francis seconded the motion. A voice vote was called and all voted “aye“, the issue passed unanimously.
State of the City by Mayor Ledford
Committee of the Whole:
Terra Gonzales raised concerns regarding the recent drainage ditch that was installed behind the houses which is on Stokenbury property. She indicated 18“–24” of water is standing in the ditch directly behind her home. The City will address the concern when the weather clears up and they are able to access the ditch again.
Adjourn – Council Member Cope made a motion to adjourn at 7:34 p.m. Council Member Smiley seconded the motion. A voice vote was called and all voted “aye“, the issue passed unanimously.
