CITY OF ELKINS, WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR A NEW LIFT STATION IN THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Elkins desires to purchase approximately one (1) acre of real property adjacent to Hollybrook Estates for the purpose of installing a new lift station; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the property amounts to approximately $170,000.00, and the City has determined that the source of funds to finance this purchase will be from the sewer improvement bond funds, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the purchase of property for a new lift station to be installed is necessary and in the best interest and a benefit to the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Elkins.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Mayor of Elkins, Arkansas, is hereby authorized to purchase the property described in the attached Exhibit “A” for the price of approximately $170,000.00 and the Mayor is also hereby authorized to take all such action and execute any documents necessary in connection therewith in order to complete the purchase.
