CITY OF ELKINS, WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS/EMPLOYEES TO EXECUTE CHECKS AND DRAFTS ON SPECIFIED BANK ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF ELKINS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elkins previously adopted Resolution No. 2012–35, which authorized certain city officials as signatories on specified bank accounts with Arvest Bank, Elkins Branch, to be utilized by the Elkins District Court; and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of the City of Elkins that it is necessary to revise the authorized signatories to maintain accuracy for transactions on these accounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elkins as follows:
Section 1. Arvest Bank, Elkins Branch, is authorized to update the Elkins District Court bank accounts to reflect the following individuals as signatories on Court Automation Fund Account for the City of Elkins, Arkansas and require any two of the following five (5) officials/employees of the City of Elkins provided there is one official/employee from Group A and on official/employee from Group B, and may and hereby are authorized to execute checks and drafts in the name of the Court Automation Fund Account as follows:
Group A
Mayor – L. Bruce Ledford
Finance Director–Gayla Stahman
Group B
Recorder–Treasurer–Delia Foster
City Council Member– Chris Smiley
Chief Court Clerk – Alexis Ward
Section 2. These authorizations are effective with the passage of this Resolution and shall continue in full force and effect until a new resolution is passed by City Council of the City of Elkins, Arkansas, only a copy of this resolution is to be provided to Arvest Bank which reflects account numbers for each of the accounts with Arvest Bank. All persons listed above are so authorized as a result of their representative capacity with the City of Elkins, Arkansas, and their authority shall cease and terminate in the event that their representative capacity (as indicated) shall end, lapse or terminate for any reason. The disqualification of nor more of such representatives shall not affect the authority hereby otherwise granted.
