A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS AND PRESCRIBING THE METHOD OF SELLING THE EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the City of Elkins that certain equipment listed below is no longer of use to the city and should be disposed of as surplus property, therefore it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Elkins to declare the following items as surplus and to resolve the method of which to dispose of equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Elkins has certified that the total value of each item of surplus property is less than $20,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Elkins, Washington County, Arkansas;
Section 1. That the following items hereby attached are to be declared as surplus, and it is certified that each item included on the list attached is of a value which is below twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00):
2009 Dodge Charger (Police Vehicle) VIN# 2B3KA43V59H597368 2009 Dodge Charger (Police Vehicle) VIN# 2B3KA43V59H597371 1994 Stewart & Stevenson, LMTV M–1079 (Military Diesel Truck) VIN# V-0944B–FC Other miscellaneous equipment that does not appear on the Elkins fixed asset list
Section 2. That the attached list of equipment shall be sold by sealed bid in the same manner in which bids are taken in the City of Elkins to dispose of surplus property.
Section 3. That in the event no bids are received for any or all of the listed items, the city administration will sell the balance of the equipment at the discretion of the Mayor or his designee, and in accordance with state law.
