AN ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL TO CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH KEN STAHMAN TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE FLOORING AND CERAMIC TILE INSTALLATION SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

WHEREAS, Ken Stahman, owns and operates a flooring business, TileRifics, Inc., which has provided services to the City of Elkins for several years: and,

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that because of the exemplary and very reasonably priced service that has been rendered in the past by Mr. Stahman. it is in the best interest of the City of Elkins to continue doing business, such as flooring and ceramic tile installation, for the City of Elkins, and should continue to provide services as requested by city, until such time as this City Council should alter this permission.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Elkins, as follows:

Section 1. Ken Stahman is permitted to continue providing services such as flooring and ceramic tile installation and necessarily related services to the City of Elkins, at such rates as the City of Elkins has been accustomed to remitting for Mr. Stahman services in the past. The City Council shall monitor such expenditures though the regular reporting of the City Treasurer. This Permission shall continue to this extent until such time as this City Council should alter it.

Section 2. Severability Provision. In the event that any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, or other provision or portion of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this Ordinance as a whole, or any part or provision, other than the part so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional, and the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall be construed as if such invalid, unenforceable or unconstitutional provision or provisions had never been contained herein.
