AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS, A TRACT OF LAND IDENTIFIED IN “ORDER OF ANNEXATION” ENTERED JANUARY 27, 2015, BY HONORABLE MARILYN EWARDS IN CASE NO. CC-2014-09 IN THE COUNTY COURT OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Jerry Barnett and Rose Barnett, husband and wife, were the previous owners of the real property described at Exhibit A, and now the City of Elkins is the owner of such land, which lies adjacent to the City of Elkins, Arkansas, and is described as follows, to-wit:

WHEREAS, the City of Elkins as owner of the described real property has requested that the above described real property be annexed to the City of Elkins, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, Jerry Barnett and Rose Barnett initially, and the City of Elkins, Arkansas, prosecuted an action before the County Court of Washington County, Arkansas, securing an “Order of Annexation” on January 27, 2015.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS, That:
SECTION 1: That the real property described at Exhibit A hereto and situate in Washington County, Arkansas is hereby accepted as an annexation to the City of Elkins, Arkansas.
SECTION 2: It is hereby determined that the real property described at Exhibit A is contiguous and adjacent to other lands in Elkins, Arkansas, which are located in Ward 3, and therefore the real property described at Exhibit A is determined and declared to be in Ward 3 of the City of Elkins.
SECTION 3: The official Zoning Districts map of the City of Elkins, Arkansas, is hereby amended to show the annexation to the City of the real property described at Exhibit A and such real property is hereby zoned P.
