July 9, 2020 Elkins Water & Sewer Meeting 

A regular meeting of the Elkins Water & Sewer committee was called to order by Chairman Brian Gray on Thursday July 9th, 2020 at the Elkins Administration Building. 

Present: Brian Gray, Member Keith Wood, Member Darrell Glenn, & Water/Sewer Superintendent Duane Foster 

Absent: 

Duane Foster updated committee on what has been going on. Sewer jetting & camera has been started again. There has been some issues at the main water tower. The altitude valve was hug up. A kit has been ordered and repairs are being made. General discussion. 

Duane talked about the City of Fayetteville doing a rate study for increase. We will be looking at doing the same when we get more information from Fayetteville‘s study. Duane has been speaking with Mr. Buntin regarding this. General discussion followed. Duane updated committee on Justus new building. Duane spoke with committee on wishes to start doing shut-offs again. Mayor Ledford will be checking with our city attorney to make sure we are all on the same page. Brian stated he was all for it if we are allowed to start back. General discussion followed. 

Rate Study: 

Duane updated committee in his report. 

Motion was made by Keith to adjourn, 2nd by Brian. All were in favor. Motion carried
