A. Trails a. Grants – Lynn Francis gave an update on current applications. AR DOT RTP application was submitted. AR Blue & You application to renovate and expand Bunch Park trails is due July 15, 2021. b. Master Bike/Ped Plan Updates – NWARPC will begin updating the region’s Master Bike/Ped plan in July and hopes to start working with Elkins in August. B. Parks Long Term Planning a. Survey – Discussion of putting together a community survey to gauge public interest and specific wants for park improvements. Possibility of working the survey into Elkfest/Movie in the Park. |

A. July 2 Fireworks Concessions a. Responsibilities – Discussion of possible ways for park committee to contribute to concessions. Any final decisions tabled until meeting with Lions Club the following Tuesday. b. Concession Stand Profits – Possible uses of concession stand profits were discussed, particularly using funds to cover the costs associated with movies in the park and other community events. B. Movie Nights and/or Other Community Events – Discussion of possible movie night after Elk Fest on August 7, incorporating survey and raffles C. Elk Fest – August 7 – Discussion of possible daytime events, but decided to forego in favor of hosting evening movie. Next Meeting – A special event meeting was added for June 23, 6:30pm @ Elkins Public Library to continue planning of Elkfest Movie Night No public comment or discussion. |
