A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE THEREOF FOR THE PURCHASE OF A SKID UNIT FOR THE ELKINS FIRE DEPARTMENT AND SUCH OTHER ACTION AS IS NECESSARY IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is immediately necessary and in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Elkins to purchase a Skid Unit for Elkins Fire Department’s Ram One Tone 4×4; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Elkins has requested bids and received a proposal for a Skid Unit being more specifically described, equipped and priced as set forth in the proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Elkins Fire Department has sufficient funds available for said purchase, and it is in the best interest of the City of Elkins to appropriate the sum of approximately $20,775.00 for the purchase of one (1) Skid Unit for the use by the City of Elkins Fire Department as described in the proposal attached as Exhibit “A”.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elkins as follows:
The Proposal secured by the Fire Department of Elkins for the purchase of one (1) Skid Unit, and the sum of approximately $20,775.00 is hereby appropriated and authorized for purchase of the skid unit, and the Mayor is authorized to expend said funds to purchase said skid unit and to take all such other action as is necessary in connection therewith in order to complete the purchase. Further, all previous actions of the Mayor or his designee in connection therewith are hereby approved and ratified.
