AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING REVISED PERSONNEL POLICIES OF THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER 2.52 OF THE ELKINS MUNICIPAL CODE AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS
WHEREAS, as a result of Court decisions, changes in federal and state law as well as changes in our culture and the City of Elkins itself personnel policies need to be reviewed periodically and from, time to time, revised.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Municipal League published a recommended personnel policy in January which has served as a framework to guide the administration in revising the City’s policy.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS, That,
SECTION 1: Effective with the passage of this Ordinance, Chapter 2.52 of Title 2 of the Elkins Municipal Code is amended to read as set forth in the document entitled “Personnel Policies Handbook, City of Elkins, Arkansas, Revised August 2014”, which is attached hereto.
Section 2: That the sections and paragraphs as divided in the attached document shall replace the corresponding section and paragraphs in Elkins Municipal Code, Chapter 2.52, Title 2.
