AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 12, BY ADDING CHAPTER 12.10 WHICH ESTABLISHES FEES FOR USE OF THE PAVILION AND FEES FOR USE OF CAMPING AREAS IN BUNCH PARK AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, The City has a very active, resourceful and successful Parks and Recreation Committee.
WHEREAS, through the efforts of the Parks and Recreation Committee the usage of Bunch Park has increased significantly over past years.
WHEREAS, increased use of Bunch Park has led to the need for enhanced maintenance at increased cost.
WHEREAS, it seems entirely appropriate that the increased cost be passed on, in large part, to those using the park where possible.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS, that
SECTION I: EMC Title 12 Parks and Recreation and Community Involvement is hereby amended by adding Chapter 12.10 as follows:
Chapter 12. 10 Fees For Use of Park Pavilion and Campsite
SECTION 2: Chapter 12.10 shall contain the following sections:
12.10.01 Pavilion Use Fees: Use of the pavilion in Bunch Park after May 30,2007, shall be by reservation made through City Hall and there is hereby enacted a fee for use ofsuch pavilion as follows:
Four (4) hours or less $25.00All day (not to exceed park rules) $50.00
All fees must be paid at least 24 hours in advance of the beginning of usage and paymentmade during City Hall business hours.
12.10.02 Campsite Use Fee: Use of a Bunch Park Campsite after May 30, 2007,shall be by reservation made through City Hall and there is here by enacted a fee for use of such campsites as follows:
Per day (begins at 3:00 p.m. through1:00 p.m. of the fo llowing day). $15.00
All fees must be paid at least 24 hours in advance of the beginning of usage and paymentmade during City Hall business hours.
12.10.03 – Reserved
12.10.04- Reserved
12.10.05 Use of Fees For Park Use: Fees collected by the City pursuant to Sections 12.10.01 and 12.10.02 shall be used by the Parks and Recreation Committee only for park maintenance, operations and improvements. These funds will be held by the Recorder Treasurer and accounted for in a fund denoted Elkins Bunch Park Use Fees.
