    1. Call meeting to order at 7pm by Chairman Cope

     

    1. Reading/approval of minutes April 13, 2023

    Chairman Cope asked for a motion to approve or amend the Minutes of the April 2023 meeting. Committee member Johnson moved to approve the Minutes as read. Second by Committee member Stepp minutes approved as read.

     

    1. Superintendents Report- Duane Foster-

    The new Dollar General began construction

    Simple Simons applied for permit

    Water and Sewer tap update

    All leaks are caught up

    The department is working on the Fire Station valve

    Updated on sewer project- digging is to begin on Monday morning for the wet well

     

    Old Business

     

    ACH with Nextbill- Water Clerk gave the board members information on the city now using NexBill to handle our ACH’s.

    Member Ashby moved to approve, Second by Committee member Johnson. The board made a motion to approve moving forward with NexBill processing our ACH.

     

    New Business:

     

    New Member Suggestion- possibly adding a 6th member to the committee.

     

    There being no further business, Chairman Cope adjourned the meeting at 7:34 pm.

    Chairman Cope asked for a motion to approve or amend the Minutes of the May 2023 meeting. Committee member moved to approve the Minutes as read. Second by Committee member minutes approved as read.

     

    1. Superintendents Report- Duane Foster-

    27 shutoffs for this month.

    The city has put in both sewer and water taps this month.

    Dollar General is to put in their taps.

     

     

    Old Business:

     

    Update on Sewer Project- Updated on sewer project- pump line pipe to be delivered. More construction to occur in the following weeks.

     

     

    New Business:

     

    Committee Member- None as of now; Post the opening on the city website

     

    Appointing Secretary- None as of now
