RESOLUTION 2010-31

A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTIONS 2009-31, 2010-17 AND 2010- 22 OF THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS; AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2010, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2010.

WHEREAS, the City Council has been confronted with unexpected and unanticipated billing in excess of the amount budgeted in Resolution 2009-31, as Amended by Resolutions 2010-1 7 and 2010-22 and income different than anticipated for 201 O; and,

WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that another Amendment to the budget adopted by Resolution 2009-31,and previously amended by Resolutions 2010-17 and 2010-22 is required to make appropriations of the revenue to cover the additional expenses for the year 2010.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS:

Section 1: That Resolution 2009-31 which adopted the Budget for the City of Elkins, for the year 2010 which reflected estimates ofrevenues and expenditures, and the amended budget adopted by Resolutions 2010-17 and 2010-22 does not adequately meet the needs of the City of Elkins at the present time, Exhibit. "A" reflects the amended budget contained in Resolution 2010-22 and Exhibit "B" reflects all changes necessary to enable to the City of Elkins to adequately meet its expenditures and appropriation needs to conduct business for 2010.

Section 2: The respective amounts in Exhibit "B", the newly amended budget, reflect changes made in each line in Exhibit "A".

Section 3: Whereas, it is necessary for the efficient operation of municipal government that the budget approved in Resolution 2009-31 and amended by Resolutions 2010- 17 and 2010-22 be amended to allow for the effective running of the City of Elkins. That Exhibit "B" Budget for 2010 is hereby adopted by the City Council of Elkins, Arkansas, as an Amendment to the Exhibit "A" amended Budget adopted by Resolution 2010-22, to cover the period January 1, 2010 through December, 2010.
