RESOLUTION 2010-17

A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 2009-31 OF THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS; AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2010, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2010.

WHEREAS, the City Council has been confronted with unexpected and unanticipated billing in excess of the amount budgeted in Resolution 2009-31, and income different than anticipated for 2010; and,

WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that an Amendment to the budget adopted by Resolution 2009-31, is required to make appropriations of the revenue to cover the additional expenses for the year 2010.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS:

Section 1: That Resolution 2009-31 which adopted the Budget for the City of Elkins, for the year 2010 which reflected estimates of revenues and expenditures, such budget does not adequately meet the needs of the City of Elkins at the present time Exhibit. "A" reflects the budget contained in Resolution 2009-31. Exhibit "B" reflects all changes necessary to enable to the City of Elkins to adequately meet their expenditures and appropriation needs to conduct business for 2010.

Section 2: The respective amounts in Exhibit "B", the amended budget, reflect changes made in each line in Exhibit "A".

Section 3: Whereas, it is necessary for the efficient operation of municipal government that the budget approved in Resolution 2009-31 be amended to allow for the effective running of the City of Elkins. That Exhibit "B" Budget for 2010 is hereby adopted by the City Council of Elkins, Arkansas, as an Amendment to the Exhibit "A" Budget adopted byResolution 2009-31, to cover the period January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010.
