AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND BOUNDARIES REGARDING PROPERTY IDENTIFIED IN REZONING PETITION OF GERALD BOWMAN APPROVED MAY 21 , 2007 BY ELKINS PLANNING COMMISSION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on May 21, 2007, passed the Rezoning Petition ofGerald Bowman and recommended to the City Council passage of an ordinance to rezone thedescribed property from R-1 to C-1 ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELKINS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the zone classification of the following described property be changedfrom R-1 to C-1.
SEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT "A"
SECTION 2: That the official Zoning District's map of the City of Elkins, Arkansas ishereby amended to reflect the zoning change in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3: That development of this pottion of the City is critical to sustaining thegrowth and vitality of the City. Therefore, in order to preserve the health, safety and welfare of theresidents of Elkins an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall be in immediate effectupon its passage and approval.
